The Energy Saving Trust is an independent, UK-based organisation set up to address the damaging effects of climate change by helping everybody to cut carbon dioxide emissions – the main greenhouse gas causing climate change – from their homes.

We do this by encouraging people to take action to use energy more efficiently, providing impartial advice on how to conserve water, reduce / recycle waste, choose renewable sources of energy and opt for greener methods of travel at home and work.

As well as a strong consumer focus, the Energy Saving Trust works with local authorities and businesses including the housing, manufacturing, retail and transport industries to ensure that the right information and services are available to incorporate energy efficiency into their activities.

In recent years, the use of glass in architecture has increased dramatically. And at the forefront of this rising popularity is Pilkington. One of the world's leading glassmakers, Pilkington is responsible for many of the innovations that have given glass such a wide range of properties - that now help it to perform many different roles in building, from fire-resistance to thermal insulation and sound reduction to safety.

We are constantly developing new technologies to take glass even further - one of the latest being self-cleaning glass - and our comprehensive testing regimes not only mean all our products meet the latest regulations but also that you can be sure of Pilkington quality, whatever glass you specify.
